Product Description
Quartz sand is a colorless and transparent variety of quartz. Greeks call it "krystallos", which means "white ice". They are convinced that quartz is durable and strong ice. Ancient Chinese believed that cold crystal in the mouth could quench thirst. Quartz sandstone is a consolidated clastic rock with more than 95% quartz clastic content. It comes from various magmatic rocks, sedimentary rocks and metamorphic rocks with less heavy minerals and associated minerals are feldspar, mica and clay minerals. Quartzite can be divided into sedimentary origin and metamorphic origin. The former has no obvious boundary between clastic grain and cement, while the latter refers to quartz ore with deep metamorphic grade and pure quality. Vein quartz is formed by hydrothermal process, almost all of which are composed of quartz, with dense massive structure. The mineral content of quartz sand varies greatly, mainly quartz, followed by feldspar, mica, cuttings, heavy minerals and clay minerals.
